Virtual Research Capabilities
Our Experience
Our team has extensive experience conducting a diverse set of online methodologies. Online studies allow us to capture a national representation of consumers to reflect a variety of attitudes and beliefs. All platforms are secure and access is personalized to ensure project confidentiality.
Featured Capabilities
Online Focus Groups
Online focus groups allow for recruitment of a national representation of participants, who reflect a variety of attitudes and beliefs, to react to stimuli in a face-to-face, dynamic group setting.
Key stakeholders are able to observe and hear directly from consumers through the online focus group platform. Video and/or audio recordings of the groups are available upon request.
The platform provides a “virtual backroom” where key stakeholders can chat with each other and the moderator.
Each participant will connect to the interview via a secure, personalized link. Chirp will conduct a technology quality check prior to interviews to ensure seamless participation.
Virtual IDIs
Virtual in-depth interviews allow for recruitment of a national representation of participants who can reflect a variety of attitudes and beliefs to react to stimuli in a face-to-face, intimate setting. Virtual IDIs are useful when the discussion benefits from an individual perspective rather than a group.
Key stakeholders are able to observe and hear directly from consumers through the online interview platform.
Online Communities
Online communities allow for recruitment of a national representation of participants to engage in an interactive research platform. Participants log in each day at their convenience to complete assigned activities, respond to moderator probes, and comment on others’ posts (if desired and/or appropriate to the topic).
Key stakeholders will be able to observe and hear directly from consumers via consumer blogs, polls, commentary, image and video uploads, and more. Stakeholders will have access to consumer-created stimuli uploaded to or created in the platform.
The platform provides an internal observation forum or “backroom” where key stakeholders are able to leave notes and questions for the moderator, facilitate discussion with internal teammates, and flag key insights and observations.
The platform is closed, with each participant receiving a personalized login in order to provide security when conducting confidential research.
Mobile Missions
Mobile missions utilize an app-based platform that enables participants to answer survey questions, respond to short-answer questions, and upload pictures and videos in the moment. It is the diary of the 21st century.
This methodology is well-suited for projects needing perspective from many different locations or when it’s important to capture participants’ reactions as they interact with/purchase something. It allows stakeholders to be in the moment with consumers without actually being there.
The platform is closed and protected in order to provide security when conducting confidential research.
Remote Usability Testing
Remote usability testing is available via smartphone, tablet, or laptop/desktop devices. Using this technology, the moderator is able to see both the participants’ faces in order to observe their expressions and their screen to see exactly how and where consumers are clicking and interacting .
Key stakeholders are able to observe and hear directly from consumers through the online interview platform. Video and/or audio recordings of the groups are available upon request.
For laptop/desktop usability, the platform provides a “virtual backroom” where key stakeholders can chat with each other and the moderator.
Each participant will connect to the interview via a secure, personalized link. Chirp will conduct a technology quality check prior to interviews to ensure seamless participation.
Surf Alongs
P2P Surf Alongs are online interviews that utilize dual screen technology. Capabilities include two-way screen share, exposure to stimuli with real-time mark up option, and the ability to follow the participant’s online behavior and navigation while allowing the moderator to ask questions simultaneously.
The platform provides a “virtual backroom” where key stakeholders can chat with each other and the moderator.
Each participant will connect to the interview via a secure, personalized link. Chirp will conduct a technology quality check prior to interviews.
Online Surveys
Online surveys allow for a national or localized quantitative read on questions of interest and can be sampled to represent the US population or any specific population.
Survey activities are custom, flexible, and dynamic to meet your objectives and keep participants engaged. Online surveys often include traditional survey questions (scales, ranking, constant-sum, etc.) as well as advanced data collection techniques including Max Diff, Conjoint, Pricing Sensitivity, text highlighting, and heatmapping.
Respondents can come from panel responses, customer lists, intercepts at live events, and QR codes generated (or a combination of methods) to collect the sample needed.
“I was skeptical for how the day was going to go on a digital platform but was pleasantly surprised with how engaged the participants were.”
