Congratulations to our current Chirp For A Cause recipient, Prison Fellowship Ministry! We are excited about the opportunity to invest in their efforts, and consider it an honor to share the work this extraordinary organization is doing with our clients and friends.

“Prison Fellowship believes that a restorative approach to prisoners, former prisoners, and all those affected by crime and incarceration can make communities safer and healthier. Through an amazing awakening, those who once broke the law are transformed and mobilized to serve their neighbors, replacing the cycle of crime with a cycle of renewal.”

Angel Tree – Gifting the Children of Incarcerated Individuals

One in 49 children in the U.S. has a parent behind bars. Angel Tree’s mission is to help children know they are treasured and loved. The trees galvanize organizations to donate gifts which are given to the children from their incarcerated family member. Lizzie Shepherd, Chirp’s Managing Director of Qualitative Research, enjoys purchasing gifts for donation and calling the caregivers of the children to get info about their interests, likes, dislikes, sizes, and special requests so that the gifts can be tailored to each child.

“The choices that lead to a prison sentence, as well as the distance created by incarceration, can strain a prisoner’s family ties to the breaking point. At Christmas, the emotional pain of a loved one’s incarceration grows even more intense; the distance is felt by children and parents alike.”

Chirp for a Cause (CFAC) is the charitable arm of Chirp Research. Several times a year, together with their clients, Chirp selects an organization from three nominees and donates a portion of their profits to the winner.
